At the 2014 Hempfield Adidas Fall Classic, the U14B NJ Stallions EDP team were crowned Champions after an impressive 4-0-0 record, scoring 23 goals over 4 games, only allowing 2. The Hempfield Adidas Fall Classic hosted by the Penn Legacy club in Eastern Pennsylvania draws strong competition from the state of Pennsylvania while also drawing competitive regional teams from the east coast. The U14B NJ Stallions look to build on their 1st place EDP League Fall season with performances like this. Their Fall EDP league record was a decisive 6-0-1 record. “We’re looking forward to our indoor winter training season. We hope to build on our success in EDP for the Spring season. We’re also going to get ready for the Manhattan Kickoff Classic as well”, said Coach Jimmy Rivas.

The U17G NJ Stallions Dynamite NPL & U17G NJ Stallions Dynamo EDP teams were both crowned Champions of the top 2 Showcase Divisions at the 2014 NEWSS Girls College Showcase held in New York. Both teams faced top regional and national teams in all of their games scoring a combined 16 goals, only allowing 1. At the time of this article, the U17G NJ Stallions Dynamite are ranked #1 in NJ, #2 in Region I, #4 Nationally, while the U17G NJ Stallions Dynamo EDP team is ranked #5 in NJ, #15 in Region I, and #31 Nationally. Both programs have earned well deserved elevation in the regional and national rankings, and will continue to move up with strong performances at events like NEWSS. The Dynamite finished NEWSS with a 3W and 1D record beating PDA Arsenal ECNL in the final 2-0. They did not allow a goal. Equally impressive was the U17G Dynamo 4-0-0 record at NEWSS, only allowing 1 goal in a very exciting match in the final vs Massapequa SC Crush. Next up for both teams is a trip to the Disney Girls Showcase.

2013 & 2014 have been banner years for the NJ Stallions Girls Academy. In the past two years the NJ Stallions Girls Program has produced 1 National NPL Champion (the 2014 U16G Dynamite), 3 NCS State Cup Champions (2014-15 NJ Stallions Freedom, 2013 NJ Stallions Dynamite, 2013 U14G NJ Stallions BEC), 1 NCS State Cup Finalist (U14g Stampede), several showcase tournament champions, 10 player invitations to the US Soccer Training Centers in the past few months, and above all and most importantly, 11 players committed to playing for top Division I Collegiate programs.

All of these NJ Stallions programs are competing in top league structures including the prestigious NPL League, USYSA Naitonal League and/or Region I Champions League, and the EDP League which together represent some of the top competition outlets offered in the United States. From the U14-U17 girls age groups, NJ Stallions has 5 “Top Ten” state ranked girls teams that compete at the highest level regionaly and nationally, a trend that will only continue to grow.

The U14G NJ Stallions Freedom NPL team were crowned NCS NJ State Cup Champions for 2014/2015. The NJ Stallions girls had a convincing run this year with victories over nationally ranked #12 FC Copa Roma NPL (1-0), Freehold SC United (1-0), TSF Academy (1-0), and a win in penalty kicks in an exciting final over New Jersey Rush ’00 Girls. This victory propels them up the regional and national rankings and will only add to their track record which will grow as they compete this year in NPL (National Premier League), USYSA National League, and Region I Champions League for the 2014/2015 season. This also marks the club’s 3rd NCS State Cup title in the past 3 years; NJ Stallions Dynamite were Champions in 2013 at U15 (Finalists in 2014 at U16), and the NJ Stallions BEC program were 2013 Champions at U14. “I’m extremely proud of this team. This is an exciting time for the Freedom and for our club as a whole. At this year’s WAGS Invitational Tournament in Washington DC, the U17G NJ Stallions Dynamo EDP team went undefeated in the Top Showcase Division with a record of 2 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw. They recorded a 0-0 draw versus AZ Arsenal ’98 (Ranked #1 in Arizona), a 3-1 win over Football of Philadelphia 97/98 (#1 in Pennsylvania, #16 Nationally), and in the final game of the showcase, a 2-0 victory over PWSI Courage ’97 Red (Ranked #7 in VA). After this weekend, the Dynamo are now #5 in New Jersey, #12 in Region I, and have jumped into the Top 20 Nationally, with a ranking of #19. Coach Neill Miles said of his team, “This was an excellent weekend for the players, especially in front of the college coaching community. We’re looking forward to a strong U17 season”.

The NJ Stallions NJCSA 12 Boys went undefeated with a perfect 4-0-0 record last weekend at the 2014 EDP Cup Tournament down in Hammonton, NJ. Playing up in the U13 age division, the team was able to battle against Delaware side, Henlopen Hurricanes for a well deserved victory. The Championship finish comes on the heels of defeating a strong New York Red Bulls side in a league match in the Northeast Preacademy League (NEPAL). With the recent victory, the team extends their unbeaten streak of 11 wins, no losses in all leagues and competitions. Coach Marcelo Fracchia said of the team, “They’re playing very well. It’s not always easy to play up in age. So this is a great result for them.” Congratulations to all the players.

Last month, seven NJ Stallions Academy girls were chosen to attend the US Soccer Training Center in August & September. The USTC is US Soccer’s exclusive identification outlet for youth players who have the potential to be selected for US Youth National Team programs. The four girls invited from the U12G NJ Stallions Heat EDP team were Karina Wasicki, Julia Conforti, Alexa Devlin, and Nicole Ricci. Claudia Dipasupil was chosen from the U14G NJ Stallions Freedom NPL team. Two players from the U15G NJ Stallions Stampede NPL team; Hayley Baer and Jamie Walton, were also chosen; making seven selections in all. “We are so proud any time our players are identified by the USSF during their development”, Shaun Cryer, Girls Academy Staff Coach, stated. “It’s an honor for these young players to be invited. Our coaches, their teammates and extended families congratulate them for this recognition”.

The U13B NJ Stallions EDP team kickoff the Fall Season by winning the 30th Annual Branchburg Labor Day Tournament. This is a great result coming into the Fall and building on their Finalist showing at the Rider Cup over the Summer. Coach Jimmy Rivas said this of his boys, “I’m very proud of the team for their performance so far. We’ve also begun our EDP season winning our 1st 2 matches, scoring 9 goals over 2 games, including a big win over Ironbound SC in our 1st game”. The club wishes the boys good luck the rest of the year.

At this year’s NPL Finals held in Greensboro, NC at the outstanding Bryan Park Soccer Complex, the U16G NJ Stallions Dynamite scored 12 goals in their first four games only letting up three. The Dynamite really caught fire with an extremely impressive 5-0 win in the semifinal vs MFC Fire Elite from Mississippi; a team they played in the preliminary round to a 2-2 draw. In the championship match, the Dynamite overcame a very stubborn and stingy defense from the the Rio Rapids team, which they achieved in a 1-0 scoreline. Rio Rapids had not given up a goal en route to the final. Tomi Kennedy scored a tremendous volley from 18 yards that rocketed past the keeper to finally break their tough back line. It was a strike worthy of winning any game. Shaun Cryer said of his team, “They’ve played together the entire year, this championship run was a team effort from day one from every one of our players.” The NPL National Title caps a great U16 year for the NJ Stallions Dynamite who went on to win several showcases, leagues and tournaments including: Disney Showcase, Dallas Cup, CASL Showcase, PDA Showcase, Jefferson Cup, NEWSS Tournament and winning the Region I Premier League.

The U16B NJ Stallions Academy team were crowned Champions at this year’s Kirkwood Boys Premier Showcase in Delaware. Over four matches against top competition from Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey, the U16 Boys scored 7 goals with only 1 against. This included 3 shutout victories capped off with a 2-1 victory in the Final against the top 10 ranked FC Revolution Vipers from Pennsylvania East. The Kirkwood Boys Showcase is a well attended event by college coaches. “I’m happy to see them doing so well at events like this, especially in front of college coaches. We also have them competing well in this year’s Super Y League season. Having weekends like this will hopefully spur them on to finish strong in Super Y as well”, said DJ Pinton, U16B Head Coach.

The NJ Stallions Academy U18 Boys finish their season with a Finalist showing at the 35th Annual Potomac Memorial Tournament. The U18 Boys competed in 6 matches over a 2 day period, posting 3 Shutout victories, scoring 8 goals against top boys competition from Pennsylvania, Virginia and Connecticut. Although the team came up short in the Final against Arsenal FC Gunners, the team performed very well in front of a well attended event by college coaches. “The next challenge for our boys will be going on to play in college. They’ve been a good team for a long time and I wish all our players the best of luck as they begin their college experience. They finished their senior club season competing very well against very good competition.”, said DJ Pinton, Head Coach for the U18B NJ Stallions.

Congratulations go to Justin Stoll and Jose Huerta, both NJ Stallions 97-98 players on their success at the 2014 Super Y ODP National Camp. Justin and Jose both turned in stellar performances at the Super Y National Camp held at IMG Academies in Tampa, FLA this past March. By the end of the week long camp, Justin and Jose were selected to the Super Y ODP Select Team for the U16 age group. Justin Stoll was also awarded with the MVP Award at the Goalie position. Jose Huerta also received the MVP Honor at the Forward position. NJ Stallions U16B Coach, DJ Pinton, said this of his players, “Justin and Jose’ work extremely hard. I’m proud of their efforts. They deserve it”

At the 2014 Jefferson Cup in Glen Allen, Virginia, the U16G NJ Stallions Dynamite were crowned Champions of the Championship Division. This Jeff Cup victory makes it two victories in a row; building on their U15G Championship bracket victory from 2013. The Dynamite team scored 12 goals over 3 showcase games allowing only 2 goals against their opponents. The three wins were against top nationally ranked opponents in FC Virginia ECNL (2-0), Crusa FC Bucks ’97 ECNL (4-1), and PWSI Courage Red ’97 (6-1). Shaun Cryer, Coach for NJ Stallions had this to say, “The girls are playing extremely well. Most of all they’re executing their style of play with creativity. I’m very proud of them. Two players from the NJ Stallions Academy U17G team, Victoria Kasper and Ilana Antelman, were selected in the U16 age group to attend the 2013-2014 SY ODP National Training Camp held this past February at IMG Academies in Tampa, FLA. As a midfielder, Victoria along with her teammate and goalkeeper, Ilana had successful individual performances during the 2013 Super Y League season earning enough nominations during league play to earn their selection along the way. The SY ODP National Training Camp held each year in Florida is highly regarded as an identification venue for youth players seeking higher levels of play. Congratulations to both Victoria and Ilana on their selection.

Congratulations to Noah Kilday U15B, and Jason Diaz U14B on being selected to attend the 2014 SYL ODP National Training Camp in February at IMG Academies in Tampa, FLA. Noah Kilday and Jason Diaz both played in the North Atlantic Division in 2013, both garnering enough nominations to earn themselves a much deserved invitation. Noah and Jason performed extremely well during the regular season, and both had a successful experience at this year’s National Training Camp. Jason Diaz was also selected to the ODP Final Team at the end of the week long training camp.

The U16G NJ Stallions Dynamite team returned to the 2013 Disney College Showcase tournament and finish as Champions. The victory at Disney marks their 3rd Championship Win in a row. They began the Fall/Winter showcase season by winning the NEWSS Tournament in Long Island, NY and then winning the CASL Tournament in Raleigh NC. All three victories were wins in the top showcase division. Coach Shaun Cryer had this to say, “I’m so very proud of the players. They’re playing extremely well at the right time. As they begin to sort out their collegiate plans, this period of success is incredibly timely. They’re looking forward to build on this as we enter league play and the upcoming spring showcases”.
